Despierta: Mission accomplished!
I told you here that I was going to participate in this project/contest led by Álvaro Sanz, that involved waking up early on the 9th (yesterday) and photographing the sunrise.
I have to admit that I would have never participated if I didn’t have a human alarm clock at home. On Saturday night, we went out for dinner and dancing, and Sunday morning I turned off my alarm without even hearing it. Thankfully, I have a wonderful husband that woke me up at 7AM. Ten minutes later and I would have missed this beautiful sunrise.
These two pictures were my favorites. I sent the first one to the contest.
The truth is that regardless of the outcome, it was totally worth it. It was a fantastic experience to get up and find all these people in twitter that, like me, had risen to photograph the beauty of the morning. I hope to repeat it soon!
Os conté el otro día que iba a participar en este proyecto/concurso de Álvaro Sanz, que consistía en madrugar el día 9 (ayer) y fotografiar el amanecer de tu entorno.
Tengo que reconocer que nunca hubiese participado si no fuese porque tengo un despertador humano en casa. El sábado por la noche salimos a cenar y a bailar y el domingo por la mañana apagué el despertador sin ni siquiera enterarme de que había sonado. Gracias a que tengo un marido maravilloso que me levantó a las 7AM. Diez minutos más tarde y me pierdo este precioso amanecer de San Francisco.
Estas dos fotos son las que más me gustaron de las que tomé esa mañana. Al final mandé la primera.
Independientemente del resultado, esto mereció la pena. Fue una experiencia fantástica levantarse y encontrar en twitter a toda esta gente, que como yo, se había levantado a fotografiar la belleza de la mañana. ¡¡Espero que se repita pronto!!

and what a great project/contest! i would love to be a part of some other sort of challenge like this. it’s such cool way to challenge yourself and connect with others through he se of twitter, instagram, etc.
